For the Love of Food and Drink is the vision of Bill and Wendy Irish who, in the very early days of a romantic courtship became business partners, giving in to their immediate intuition that they had to combine forces. The rest is history, as they say: The husband-wife duo has successfully expanded from a small mixology and catering company offering backyard weddings to event planners, venue operators, and cafe proprietors that, together, employ more than a dozen people and offer a full range of event planning, hospitality, catering, and related services.

 

Wendy Faulkingham Irish is a successful entrepreneur in the culinary and events industry, leveraging her mixology credentials, business acumen, and sophisticated style — even her love of gardening and design — on behalf of brides, corporations, and families from the north shore of Massachusetts to Maine’s southern coast and western foothills.

 

Chef Bill Irish is the recipient of several regional cooking awards, applying his impressive knowledge and creative approach to both envision and prepare a wide range of ethnic specialties, traditional comfort foods, and one­-of-a-kind gastronomic creations. A veteran of kitchens at the Eastland Hotel, The Tamarind Tree, Spurwink, The Roost, and Black Tie Catering, Bill is also a professional musician, thespian, and historical reenactor. Whether executing a classic wedding feast, creating a bespoke menu, conversing at the cafe, or leading a cooking class, Bill’s lively and entertaining style is second only to his culinary chops. 

 

Together, Wendy and Bill believe wholeheartedly that business success comes when you love what you do. And love it they do. Drawing on the talents of their tight-knit team to create a unique, fun and tailored experience for you, Wendy and Bill believe in working hard and attention to detail to ensure that your event exceeds your expectations.

 

Whether putting the finishing touches on the presentation of a specialty cocktail or working over the course of 12-months with a bride on the wedding of her dreams, Wendy and Bill thoroughly enjoy getting to know guests and clients, with a particular knack for creating events that truly portray their personality and style -- and that have everyone delighting in customized menus that make each event (and each bite!) feel totally unique.
